PLOW DESIGNは静岡を拠点としたプロダクトデザイン事務所です。
「PLOW」には「土を耕す」という意味があります。
固まった固定概念や価値観を耕し続け、新しい空気を入れること。
そこから、新しい豊かなものづくりが生まれる。
そんなきっかけを共に作り出せればと思います。
Koji Tanabe
PLOW DESIGN is a product design studio based in Shizuoka, Japan.
My name contains the word “plow” in Kanji.
To continue to cultivate preconceived ideas and values and bring in fresh air.
From there, new and fulfilling creations are born.
We would like to create such an opportunity together.
1984年 島根県生まれ
2007年 静岡文化芸術大学卒業
2020年 PLOW DESIGN 設立
静岡デザイン専門学校非常勤講師（2021年-2025年）
受賞歴
2025年 iF DESIGN AWARD 2025 (ドイツ) 受賞
2026年 BIG SEE Product Design Award (欧州) 受賞
家具メーカーで幅広い商品開発を経験した後、独立。プロダクトデザインを軸に、デザイン提案から設計、試作、量産化まで一貫して伴走しています。
特に椅子をはじめとする家具開発を得意とし、デザイン、製造方法、コスト、快適性など複数の要素を統合しながら、作り手と使い手の双方にとって価値ある製品づくりを目指しています。
細部まで美意識の宿るデザインを信条に、商品としての魅力と実現性を両立するものづくりに取り組んでいます。
After gaining extensive experience in product development at a furniture manufacturer, I established my independent design practice.
I work across furniture and product design, with particular experience in furniture development, where aesthetics, comfort, manufacturability, and cost must be carefully balanced. By integrating these elements throughout the development process, I aim to create products that deliver lasting value for both manufacturers and users.
Guided by a commitment to refined details and thoughtful design, I strive to create products that successfully combine beauty, functionality, and commercial viability.
